The Best Costa Rican Fishing Trip EVER

This fishing trip to Playa Avellanas Costa Rica turned out to be the best one I have ever been on. We stayed at the Hotel Mauna Loa and the Concierge there, Gustavo Jiminez was most excellent. He recommended Michael with Fishing Guanacaste who was an excellent skipper. With two first time salt water fisher-women reeling in a 250+ lb Pacific Blue Marlin, it took some handy maneuvering to get the fish close. It proved too heavy to lift into the boat, but the memories are forever. BEAUTIFUL beaches, coastline BEAUTIFUL people. All around, the Liberia Airport was EXCELLENT, and our host at Hotel Mauna Loa was a diamond in the Rough. If you can make it there on Delta for 300.00 round trip rent a car with GPS from Budget Car rental, you are on your way to a fantastic experience. PURA VIDA always.

The Right Fishing Boat Rentals

Fishing, so many people do it for a living and so many do it for recreation. For whatever reason you do it, you need a boat. Not everyone really has the funds or the interest to own their own one. Besides, the lack of space stops many people from buying one for themselves.

These boats are used for both kinds of fishing- inshore and coastal. Therefore, there is a large variety of these vessels. Aluminum all-purpose fishing boat, kayaks, bass fishing boats, multihull, deck fishing boats, and catamarans are the names of a few. These are usually long, slender and canoe shaped.

Before choosing the fishing boat rental, you first have to decide the kind of fishing you are planning to do. Accordingly you choose the place where that kind of fishing is possible. A rental situated in a place where inshore fishing is done will obviously not have coastal vessels.

Choosing the right fishing boat rental can add a lot of fun to your trip. The advantages of these rentals are numerous:

1. You do not have the trouble of maintaining your own boat.

2. You may not always know exactly what vessel you are looking for. But, since these rentals have a variety of boats you can always find the best one for your purpose.

3. The experienced staff can provide beginners with some good guidance.

4. The people of the rentals have a good idea about the area and therefore, can tell you where the best places for fishing are.

Choosing the right rental may not always be an easy task. Here are a few things to be kept in mind:

1. Ask around for recommendations. It's always better to opt for an agency that has a good reputation.

2. The place should be well maintained.

3. The staff should be able to answer any queries you might have relating to fishing and the waterways.

You should check and see that the vessel rented out to you is fully functional and has the necessary safety equipment. The communication system should be a good one and not just in working condition.

Factors to Look For When Choosing Fishing Boat Rentals

Sport fishing is a popular hobby that many are taking to today and Florida Keys is one of the best places to indulge in it. You can find different kinds of fish all through the year in Florida Keys. Even if you don't have a boat of your own, you don't have to worry as you can find a number of companies that offer fishing boat rentals in Florida Keys.

Tips to Rent Fishing Boats

Many companies that provide fishing boat rentals in Florida Keys also offer motor boats to ensure that customers can sail comfortably. However, there are other requirements that will keep you comfortable and safe at sea. Listed below are some things to look for when choosing fishing boat rentals in Florida Keys.

Well Maintained Boats

The first thing to look for in fishing boat rentals is that the boats being offered are in good working condition. You can get an idea of the quality of the fishing boats by simply looking at rental buildings and offices. If these aren't in good condition, chances are that the boats will also be in the same condition.

Safety Gear and Equipment

Another thing to look for when renting boats is the inclusion of safety gear and equipment. Ensure that you have all the required safety equipment on board as it's a legal requirement. Avoid using a rental company that doesn't offer suitable safety equipment. In addition to this, also check the equipment to ensure it works properly.

Maps and Charts

Reliable fishing boat rental companies usually include maps and charts. This allows you to easily find your way around the sea. Some companies even offer GPS systems to help you when trying to get around.

In addition to this, you should also look for boats that have onboard radios for communication. Learn to operate these before you set sail, so it will be easier to get in touch with someone if the need arises.
