Voice Activated GPS For Hands-Free Navigation
Voice activated GPS devices add another level of sophistication to an advancing GPS navigation market.
It's hard to imagine today what it was like to drive from point A to point B with nothing more than a map. The consumer production of GPS (global positioning satellite) devices has made maps about as obsolete as a 56K baud rate modem in the era of high-speed internet access.
GPS technology was originally developed for military use. The global navigation of naval warships, missile guidance and ground troop movements drove the need to have accurate location guidance. This technology eventually found a strong market for private and consumer users as well. In fact, you can find GPS devices just about everywhere.
Rental car companies now offer the option to have in-car navigation device when you rent a vehicle. Even popular cellular devices like the iPhone and Android phones have built- in GPS hardware and software to make navigating as easy as phone dialing.
Navigation devices have seen recent improvements in screen size, accuracy and live traffic reporting. However, just like the cell phone market, the need for improved safety and convenience was becoming a priority as more and more people began using GPS devices in their vehicles. The demand for voice activated GPS models has been growing year after year. Hands-free operation was the next logical feature to include.
Drivers are distracted enough without adding more electronics to occupy their attention. It's always recommended to pull over to a safe location before configuring your GPS device. However, we all know this just isn't practical or possible at times. The solution was to make voice command an available option. Instead of typing in a street address or business name while driving, now all you need to do is push a button to activate voice command and speak your address. The device will then verify the location you just spoke and direct you turn-by-turn to your destination.
It really is a simple as that. Of course there are many things to consider when researching models and brands. Manufacturers will offer voice activation features on certain models and price points. You'll have to prioritize the need for voice options and compare that to the other features of any particular model. You may find a model that has voice features but lack traffic update notifications.
Screen size, menu navigation and ease of use are also important items to consider. It is well worth your time and effort to know your options to ensure the best match possible for your needs. Once you decide on a brand and model, chances are that you'll never go back to a traditional map.

Party Planning Ideas for Teenagers
Planning a party for a teenager can be a difficult balance of finding something they deem 'cool' and something parents feel is safe and appropriate. Teenagers, regardless of how much they want to be adults, are still big kids at heart who love to laugh, act silly, and burn off energy. Inflatable outdoor games are a perfect idea for teen parties. Contrary to what many realize, inflatable rentals are much more than kid's slides and bouncers. Today's inflatable rentals are fun, physical, and truly unique. Below you'll find a list of the top-rated inflatable outdoor games for teenagers:
Inflatable Sumo Wrestling
In this hilarious game, teens strap themselves into enormous inflatable sumo suits and try to topple each other over. When the unlucky contestant tips over, there's no getting up easily in this big round sumo suit. Teens love the physical aspect of this game and parent's like the fact that it's a safe and fun way to be competitive. This inflatable outdoor game doesn't require a lot of space. The mat is approximately 16 feet in circumference - perfect for those with a limited amount of outdoor space.
Human Bowling
Everyone has a blast with the human bowling inflatable rental. It's just as much fun to roll your friend down the enormous inflatable bowling lane as it is to get strapped into the 4 foot steel ball itself and try to knock down the pins. Human bowling requires a fairly large space with its 30ft by 8ft area. This game is great if you've got a larger outdoor area or will be renting a park for the party.
The Rock Climbing Wall
This outdoor activity isn't inflatable, but several piece of solid plastic that the rental company will assemble upon delivery. Having a rock climbing wall at the party is sure to be something that will be talked about and remembered. The wall is a physical and comparatively competitive activity for more mellow crowds that aren't interested in dueling head to head. A harness is included so teens can take chances and push their limits while still feeling safe and secure. Since the mass of the rock climbing wall is vertical instead of horizontal, it requires very little space and is well suited for smaller yards.
Inflatable Slip and Slide
This isn't the tiny strip of plastic you remember as a kid! The inflatable slip and slide is gigantic at 12 feet wide and 30 feet long. It's made with super slick lanes and an extra padded back and sides for hours of entertainment. These inflatable rentals only require a garden hose to get the party slipping and sliding. The inflatable slip and slide is great idea for younger teens with lots of energy and a perfect compliment to a pool party.
Trying to find something that both parents and teens can agree on can be challenging at best. The last thing any teen wants at their party is for guests to be bored or have their parent's organizing activities. Outdoor rentals give teens the opportunity to enjoy some structured chaos, burn off lots of energy, and have a lot of fun.

Car Rental Gas Service Option - Is it Wise?
That statement in one form or another has been part of car rentals since the beginning. In the early days, it was a straight out principle issue. You used it, you replace it. At some point between then, and now, someone realized that "there's a lot of money to be made with the gas tank on rentals.
For those who don't know, lets explain your refuelling options in car rentals. When you rent a car, the car usually comes with a full tank of gas. In some circumstances, it comes with a partially full tank. In either case, the rental company will give you three options. Bring it back at the same level you got it at, (full) prepay for a full tank of gas (GSO) and bring it back empty, or bring it back empty and pay a refuelling charge (FSO) of a more expensive per gallon rate.
Fuel Service Option (FSO) is almost always the costliest option. Up and down the California Coast, most cities have FSO charges around $5.99 a gallon (and with recent prices, even higher). Around the country, its not much better. While your mileage may vary on the actual price per gallon, the FSO charges are almost always a good Dollar per gallon more expensive than the prevailing GSO (prepaid) rate or the rate of the local gas stations. It may seem that there is no really good reason to use the FSO, but there is. While most FSO users are people with more money than time or people who forgot to fill up the gas tank, there is one segment where it is cheaper to use this service than any other.
If you have a discount code, it may be because of your employer. Some employers, such as Microsoft and Government Contracts like Lockheed Martin have negotiated rates where the same dollar amount for fuel refueling is charged nationwide. Depending on the market, it may not be that bad. In one circumstance, a friend of mine who worked for one of the above mentioned companies went on a trip to Kona, Hawaii. On that trip, the fuel service option refueling price was less than the per gallon prices of all the local gas stations within 5 miles of the airport. In that case, its always best to just bring the car back as it is.
On the other end of the spectrum, the GSO option is a prepaid full tank of gas at a specific rate. In most car rental agencies, the GSO price is the average of the three closest gas stations. With this average, the multiply the tank capacity by that number and offer it as a flat rate to fill up the tank. But let the buyer beware. If the tank is not totally empty when you return it, you do not get a refund on the gas you use. You have effectively paid for a full tank of gas and if your not "empty" on return, you've just given the car rental agency free gas to use.
So to recap, when should you use FSO (fuel service option)?
Only when you have no other choice
Only when your company discount provides you a special rate for the gas refuel
For those who have more money than time
And when should you Fuel up with the GSO option?
Trips where you know you will have the car for over a week
Trips where you know you will be driving more than 400 miles
When you know your going to be strapped for time at return
A few final tips. When your leaving the rental area, take note of the closest gas station. If you have time, its often good to drive right in and gas up the car to ensure it was totally full when you got the car. Many of todays tanks allow for as much as 50-100 miles before the needle drops below full. If the agency stated the tank is full, the nozzle should click practically immediately (3/10 of a gallon). But to be fare, you really need not worry if its less than 3/4 of a gallon unless 85 cents is enough for you to argue and waste 20 minutes. If you put more than that in, take the receipt to the counter when you return the car and get the amount of the gas deducted from the bill.
If you have a GPS unit, lock in the location of the car rental area and the closest gas station to save you time on return. Some of the best made plans are ruined by getting lost trying to get back to the airport. If traveling in a group, assign one person to look for the car rental return signs, the exit off ramp, nearest restaurant among other things that you may need on your way back to the airport.
Under no circumstances are you to buy the most expensive grade of gasoline! Let me repeat that in clearer terms. by the cheap gas. The car rental agencies all buy the cheapest gas the law will allow. Do not feel guilty topping of that car with a more expensive grade of gas. The car will break down and be sold from abuse long before the gas causes issues for the car.

Buying a GPS Unit? Here's What You Need to Know
GPS systems seem to be the tech toy of choice these days. You can find GPS units in just about any big chain or electronics store, in your rental car, as a feature on your cellular phone, or in the wilderness in the hands of an intrepid backpacker or hunter. Buying a GPS unit is the perfect way to know where you are in the world and how to get to your ultimate destination.
Fortunately with the advance of technology the price of a good GPS unit is within reach for most consumers. What used to be a very expensive "toy" is now an everyday item that just about anyone can afford. Of course the more features and bells and whistles you want the more the unit will cost but there is a good chance you can find one that fits your budget and needs.
If you are in the market for a GPS unit the first question you need to answer is what do you plan to use it for?
Are you planning on using it in the great outdoors; there are a whole series of handheld GPS units for use by hikers, campers, backpackers, rock climbers, hunters, runners, and other enthusiasts who are active in the outdoors.
This type of unit needs to be rugged and waterproof because if you are relying on it to get you through your adventure it needs to stand up to not only the elements but being dropped or whacked against a rock accidentally.
There are a variety of different features to be had on these handheld unit but the main thing you are looking for is data screens that show you where you are, a breadcrumb trail showing you the way back to where you came from, and how to get to your ultimate destination. You will also want a dedicated compass that shows north and a barometer that can warn you of impending weather changes.
If you are looking for a vehicular GPS navigation unit then your needs will be a little different. You can get one of two types; portable and in-dash mounted. They both do the same things but the portable variety can be mounted on top of the dash board or on a windshield mount. With the portable GPS unit you can take it with you and use it in multiple vehicles, including rental cars if you travel a lot.
When considering a car-born GPS system it is important to understand that the more feature you wish to have the more you'll have to spend but the nice thing is that you can get a feature packed unit for around $300. A more basic unit will run around $100 and will get you where you need to go.

I recently purchased an IPOD Touch. Although I bought a skin for it, I still wanted an outer protective case to secure it when in transit. I took a chance and ordered the Garmin Nuvi GPS 4.3 inch carrying case. I am happy to report that it is a good fit with room to spare to carry my earbuds, extra screen protectors, and cleaning cloths. Now I can toss my IPOD Touch into my purse without worrying that my car keys or other object will bump into it. I chose the gray but the manufacturer offers many cool colors.
I also received it in a timely fashion. My only criticism is that the shipping and handling fee of .95 is excessive.

Boat Rental - Do's And Don'ts
Not everyone can afford to buy the luxury of a boat. If you're one of the "unfortunate" ones, do not despair because there are companies which offer boat rental services. In renting a boat however, you are bound under a contract which stipulates certain terms and conditions that you, as the lessee, have to fulfill. This is called a Contract for a Boat Rental.
Under a boat rental contract, it is your primary responsibility to look after the overall welfare of the boat as it is delivered in your care. This implies that when you return the boat, you have to ascertain that there is no damage done to the seat upholstery and that it should be as complete as when it was turned over to your custody, with no parts amiss whatsoever.
Spillages should be cleaned outright. As much as possible, scratches in the interior should be avoided. In other words, you must handle it with utmost care and treat it as if it were your personal vessel.
The boat rental contract may stipulate refueling prior to surrendering the boat upon expiry of the contract. Otherwise, you shall be billed with an exorbitant refueling charge.
There are some boat rental companies that have their own refueling station. This may be a disadvantage on your part because there is a fixed rate for each gallon for a full tank even if the tank is not empty. Based on this, it is therefore more economical to handle the refueling on your own.
The boat rental contract has a clause on major or minor accidents and determines who shall be held accountable for such events. For this, you must be covered appropriately by insurance. Again, some boat rental companies may also provide certain types of coverage to supplement your own. It is to your own advantage to analyze the terms of the boat rental insurance, such as claims procedures and accident liabilities.
Your participation in the boat rental contract is a matter that should be given thorough understanding by conscientiously reading all the stipulations stated therein.

Factors to Look For When Choosing Fishing Boat Rentals
Sport fishing is a popular hobby that many are taking to today and Florida Keys is one of the best places to indulge in it. You can find different kinds of fish all through the year in Florida Keys. Even if you don't have a boat of your own, you don't have to worry as you can find a number of companies that offer fishing boat rentals in Florida Keys.
Tips to Rent Fishing Boats
Many companies that provide fishing boat rentals in Florida Keys also offer motor boats to ensure that customers can sail comfortably. However, there are other requirements that will keep you comfortable and safe at sea. Listed below are some things to look for when choosing fishing boat rentals in Florida Keys.
Well Maintained Boats
The first thing to look for in fishing boat rentals is that the boats being offered are in good working condition. You can get an idea of the quality of the fishing boats by simply looking at rental buildings and offices. If these aren't in good condition, chances are that the boats will also be in the same condition.
Safety Gear and Equipment
Another thing to look for when renting boats is the inclusion of safety gear and equipment. Ensure that you have all the required safety equipment on board as it's a legal requirement. Avoid using a rental company that doesn't offer suitable safety equipment. In addition to this, also check the equipment to ensure it works properly.
Maps and Charts
Reliable fishing boat rental companies usually include maps and charts. This allows you to easily find your way around the sea. Some companies even offer GPS systems to help you when trying to get around.
In addition to this, you should also look for boats that have onboard radios for communication. Learn to operate these before you set sail, so it will be easier to get in touch with someone if the need arises.

The History of Amelia Island, Florida
Local stories and evidences have it that the Amelia Island was first sited by the Timucuan Indians and they were here as long ago as 2000 BC. They were strongly committed to one of their customs which is tattooing themselves with murky, red, blue and yellow on different areas of their body.
The island was first named "Retreat de Mai" (Island of May) by Jean Ribault, the Huguenot leader who landed on Amelia Island in 1562. It is said that on Ribault and his troop's plotting, they were greeted by the Timcuans with flops of berries. However, egghead that the Spanish had claimed the area in 1513, the fact did not prevent these French colonists from landing as not only were they seeking tract for France, but also refuge from the religious and political treasure hunt that went along with being Huguenots. Though Ribault and his band didn't hang out, the Huguenots penitent again in 1564. It was this second empire which constructed the Fort Caroline in England Jacksonville near the mouth of the St. John's River. In 1565, Spanish troops came to the area and killed the French settlers for them to regain the territory which they had plotted as their own years before.
With the coming of these Spanish troops, the first Spanish reign tool place, from 1565 to 1763. The operation of Santa Maria on the northern end of Amelia Island in what is now known as Old Town was set up to convert the Indians to Christianity. That time, the early moniker was changed to "Isle de Gigolo Maria".
The following years, the Timucuans of Amelia Island gained contact with the Europeans, and the British settlements in the North soon took a keen interest in the area because of its naturally deep ports and the strategic industry route location. The island was then named "Amelia" by the governor of Georgia, King James Version Oglethorpe in 1735 in honor of Princess Amelia, the daughter of King George II. It is interesting to know that although the island was named "Amelia" by the British, it did not lapse into British hands until the Spanish Florida was traded for British Cuba in 1763 as a result of the Treaty of Paris. Mid the British precedent, Amelia Island was known as Egmont.
In 1783, the Second Treaty of Paris forgotten the Revolutionary War and returns Florida to Spain. It was in 1811 when George J. F. Clarke, an originator, plats the town of Fernandina, named in extol of King Ferdinand VII of Spain. However, to drive out the Spanish, the Jingoist*s of Amelia Island, which is an independent group of American civilians backed by the US government, seized control of the Amelia Island and it was that eternity that they raised their flag. The following day, they ceded Amelia Island to the Conjoint States.
In 1870 to 1910, the Golden Age of Amelia Island, several wealthy Americans made Fernandina their home and thrown together elegant Victorian style houses in what became known as the Silk Stocking District. The Egmont Hotel, which was once of the grandest camps of the times was even visited by Ulysses Grant. It was noted that the boom was due to the shipping industry and the rise of the numbers of New Yorkers who came down by steam van to enjoy the warm community and genteel chalets in Amelia.
In modern times, the Amelia Island Plantation was built and is now known as one of the perfect island destinations in the world. Several establishments began to pop up, and now the island is noted for various enterprises

Pedestrian Safety 101
With more people comes more traffic and more problems. If you thought driving on the roadways during rush hour was dangerous, try walking or running! There are so many distractions nowadays when people drive with the invention of things like the cell phone, global positioning devices (GPS), OnStar, radios and other electronic devices; it's a wonder we make it to work alive! In 2003, the NHTSA reported that 4,749 pedestrians were killed and 70,000 were injured in traffic-related crashes. On average, a pedestrian is killed almost every two hours and injured every 8 minutes. Pretty astounding, huh? Not really.
What is a Pedestrian, or rather, who?
According to Wikipedia, a pedestrian is a person traveling on foot, whether walking or running. In the 18th and 19th centuries, "pedestrianism" was a popular spectator sport. One of the most famous pedestrians during those times was a man named Captain Robert Barclay Allardice. Allardice walked one mile every hour for 1,000 hours between June1-June12, 1809. Thousands of people came from all over to watch him walk. Later on, this fascination with walking continued with David Kunst, who became the first person to walk around the world. And while it is still an Olympic sport today, walking is boring to most of us. We're living in a world where time is money; and quite frankly, who has the time or patience to sit there and watch someone walk or even walk themselves?
Increasing Pedestrian Traffic
We all know that obesity is on the rise in America due to increased modes of transportation and sedentary lifestyles. However, a lot of communities are working hard to make areas "walkable" as a means of encouraging pedestrians to get out there, get some fresh air and exercise. This hasn't always been easy though. Due to increased traffic, pedestrians are facing huge challenges with cars speeding, disobeying stop signs and stop lights, drivers being distracted by cell phone use, etc. This hasn't deterred some communities, however, which have put in sidewalks, designated bike lanes on roadways, cross walks and street lights- all in an effort to promote pedestrianism.
General Rules of Safety
Do you remember those rules of safety your parents told you about walking outside? Well, they're true. Some of them include:
Look both ways before crossing the street
Pay attention to traffic signals and drivers (even though you have the right of way, drivers may not realize this)
When walking on a sidewalk, stay to the right to allow others to pass by if need be
Make eye contact with drivers before crossing (sometimes just a quick look is all you need to verify that the driver sees you before crossing)
Avoid walking on roadways at night that are not well-lighted
Some of these rules may help you to be more alert the next time you go for a stroll. After all, an alert pedestrian is a safe one!

Automatically Tracking Your Car, Fleet, or Boat with GPS
There is a huge number of GPS products on the market for all sorts of purposes. For example there is a specific subcategory of GPS products tailored for vehicle tracking and surveillance- in other words, tracking a car, a fleet, or any other automobile (hey you could even track a boat, etc).
Certain product lines are sold only through authorized dealers and distrubutors- these are generally the more higher end GPS units used by heavy industry or car rental companies.
You can consider GPS car tracking as a branch of security as well as something that can help fleet management companies or car rental facilities, etc, to manage their operations more effectively, cut costs, and find out who's slacking on the job.
Back in the day, the primary security method for your vehicle was to have one of those annoying sounding alarm systems. And more recently the security bar we place on our steering wheels when parking. Well now for those extra paranoid folks out there you now have the option of using GPS tracking in case your car ever got stolen.
Or you could always pretend to be James Bond and follow your kids around to make sure they are not falling into the wrong crowd. Those are just a few possible things you can do. It's up to you to decide what you are looking to do.
The truth is, the global climate of security is not what it used to be, at least not in the . Therefore the sense of having an extra peace of mind can go a long way in these uncertain times.
Please note that not all GPS offerings will be the same- depending on the extra features you are looking for, and whether you want a third party to monitor and track you vehicle or even fleet of vehicles, there may be a subscription fee involved someplace.
Keep in mind that is that not all GPS models will work the same way. For example, if you want to track your personal vehicle, there may be a certain proximity range that you must be within in order to track down the signal. Little things like this can make a world of difference in your decision on a GPS car tracking system.

I haven't had this product very long (about three weeks) and so far I've got no complaints. It very definitely protects my Garmin nuvi 255W in luggage or in the car, but I wish someone would come up with a case to contain the GPS unit AND the window mount and car cord. Another nice accesory would be a silicone sleeve similar to those avaible for some MP3 players and small digital cameras. The Garmin is very slick--I drop it a lot and I'm afraid I'm going to damage it.

Innovative Uses For Handheld GPS Systems
We all know they're great to have to keep from getting lost in the woods, but what are some other uses for handheld GPS systems? This article will take a look at some of their more interesting uses.
One of the most popular is geocaching, the outdoor treasure hunting game being played all over the world thanks to portable GPS units. Its estimated that over a million "caches" are now in existence, and the number is growing every day. Basically one person hides the treasure "cache", and others download the coordinates and seek to locate it with the aid of handheld GPS systems.
Another popular mainstream use is hunting and fishing. Boaters love waterproof GPS systems, while hunters can use a hunting model done in camouflage so that they don't have to worry about giving away their location in the woods. Garmin offers the eTrex Handheld GPS with Hunting and Fishing Calculator which calculates optimal times of the day for such sporting expeditions.
More unique would be for corn maze creation. That's right, a business owner in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley recently installed a corn maze to attract business to his farm. When asked what materials were required to create such a thing, he answered, "a tractor and a handheld GPS."
Perhaps the most inspirational use is as an aid to the blind. Talking handheld GPS systems like those offered by the Sendero Group are already being used to augment the white cane and seeing eye dog the rest of us are so familiar with, the traditional tools help in navigating obstacles but the GPS bridges the gap to actually locating the door, elevator, etc being sought out.

Getting From A to B With GPS
Where in the world would we be without GPS technology to tell us where in the world we are? Not that far back in history explorers set off for distant lands armed only by a few sketchy and rather fanciful maps, a compass, a fair knowledge of the stars, and a favourable wind.
Today it is now possible for anyone to clip in a small device the size of a hamburger, and drive to any destination on the globe to within an accuracy of a few metres. The fact that most people seem to use this technology to find, for example, the most efficient route to the bowling alley avoiding rush hour traffic and the junction with the slow changing lights is neither here nor there - it's the potential value that matters!
It is easy for people to mock the idea of needing this technology, citing cases of explorers ploughing the seas to find new worlds with little more than a pocket watch and the stars. But whilst they may have lived in a world whose maps contained swathes of empty space marked only with script declaring 'here be dragons', today we are armed with maps which are changing every two minutes, and which contain multitudinous annotations declaring 'here be roadworks', 'here be temporary contraflow diversions' and 'here be a ten mile tailback resulting from an overturned lorry carrying fourteen hundred chickens.'
Because there are nearly 700 million cars in the world, driving from A to B rarely involves actually starting at point A and driving like a Roman to point B. Not that Romans drove, but you get the idea. Such a journey usually involves driving from A to B via point C if it's a Sunday evening, but through point D at rush hour. What about if you need to stop off at point E on a Sunday evening, but at a time when there's a big game on, and the traffic's likely to be heavier?
Driving is no longer a simple affair, which is why GPS technology is able to lend a hand. It's not just about convenience - it's about safety. The more traffic on the roads, the more likelihood there is of an accident, and a resulting tailback. Roadworks are no longer merely an inconvenience, they can add hours to a journey. What has been needed for some time is a system which is able to coordinate much of the traffic on the roads, siphoning off excess traffic on some roads at certain times to ease congestion and keep everyone moving.
With GPS technology accessing up to the minute data on road situations, beamed directly to your dashboard via satellite, you become one of those vehicles helping ease conditions on the road, helping you to get where you need to be more quickly, and more safely. You're also helping to do your bit to ease problems elsewhere, which will certainly help you feel good about doing your bit.
So where would we be without GPS systems? Stuck on the freeway, spending a hot Sunday afternoon behind a chicken truck.

Daytona Beach Boat Rental Options
Daytona Beach is a very popular vacation spot in USA. People travel from different corners of the country to see this beach and also to use the Daytona Beach boat rentals. There is, after all, so much you can enjoy while sunbathing and watching the sparkling water.
More people have been coming here because of the boat rentals services offered at Daytona Beach. People have come to realize at last that water can be enjoyed all the more when you have the transportation to travel through it. The services offered by Daytona Beach allow you to rent a boat and make the most out of your vacation while you enjoy the ride.
You could rent various different kinds of boats, and each will have its own unique charm to go with it. You could have a unique experience with every boat that you hire. Book a boat rental to enjoy the sites that would not be possible to see any other way. And you can relax while you see the coastal sights when in a boat. The whole experience can be a real relaxing one, especially if you've just come from a heavy work schedule.
The different kinds on boat rental schemes available at Daytona Beach
You could get quite confused as to which boat would do you the best service, especially when you are flooded with so many options. Here you will find a few tips to help you make up your mind.
1. Kayak - these awesome boats are styled to carry either one or two people, and they can get you into remote areas better than any other boat. However kayaks can be physically exhausting, so, if you prefer something leisurely, you may choose something different.
2. Canoe - A canoe is a relaxing experience and you can drift slowly along the banks as you get your fill of the scenery around you. Never be in a hurry when in a Canoe - it would ruin the charm of the experience.
3. Pontoon - These are larger boats that could show you a glimpse of the ocean and are a great option if you are with a group of friends or family. It provides for a great picnic atmosphere as you share the space with those around you and take photographs maybe.
4. Jet skis - These are basically water skis and you would be tugged by a motorized boat as you skim on the surface of the water. By no means will they help you see the sights. They are just meant for a little bit of fun in the water.
A few things you may want to keep in mind:
Safety is of utmost importance when you are in a boat. Wear a safe jacket at all times and insist that your family and friends do so as well. It is good to carry wireless communication especially if you are not accompanied by a guide or sailor.

Avoiding GPS Theft
There has been a lot of reported vehicle break-ins with satellite navigations units stolen from the vehicles. This I will say is partly due to the growing popularity of satellite navigation units.
A lot of the owners leave the windscreen mounts of these devices attached to the windscreen when they detach the units, this is a give away signal that leads to the vehicle being broken into with the vandal looking for the device in the dashboard.
My solution is simple, get a windows or symbian smartphone, that is compatible with a navigation software and use that for your navigational needs. These smartphones are really getting smarter, you would want to look for a series 60, 80, or 90 symbian phone or any windows powered mobile phone. Bluetooth functionality is a prerequisite as that is what is used to connect to mobile phone to the portable bluetooth gps receiver. Get yourself a compact buetooth gps unit like the holux gpslim 236, that is currently the smallest unit and you are done.
Before you talk about screen size, I will say the screen size isn't that bad at all from experience. Most smartphones have enough screen display size to do the gps justice. There are a lot of advantages to this setup. One thing I will say is I have never heard of a car being broken into because of a phone cradle in sight but leave a gps cradle in sight and you could be asking for trouble.
In the United Kingdom you can get a free contract smartphone like the nokia 6630/6680 and alternatively if windows is your thing you can get an orange spv c500/c550/c600 or the t-mobile variants, you can get a navigation software with a bluetooth gps receiver for less than £200 and you are good to go.

Realtime GPS Vehicle Tracking a reality!
Question
tintrist... asks : ()
Here's the scenerio:
There is NO emergency....I have done nothing wrong and am not running from the cops.....I have a rental car from a company that has GPS in their cars......
Can a rental car company give the police information about the location of the car just because the cops ask??? without a court order or warrant?? Answers
zombies!... : (2 years ago)
Probably, it's their property to do what they want with it, even if it's rented out to someone. Archer Christifori : (2 years ago)
Yes but most companies would require a warrant before giving out such information. emtalex : (2 years ago)
Cops would have to have a reason to ask for the info. But location of the car is perfectly within the rental co. right to know and share. It's their property. You didn't say rental info....just car location.....
They have more important things to do that track random rental cars. If you are in a known drug area then they may have some kind of agreement that gives them the info. Rental places like to know when their cars are in bad places cause then it gives them a good reason to come pick up the car with no refund. check the rental agreement. chino_71... : (2 years ago)
All with a warrant...
Why would they ask for all that info unless you were a criminal with a rental car??
The cops would not ask...just because...
